Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how UseFax ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the UseFax mobile application (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
We do not require you to create a traditional user account or provide personal details such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the App.
However, when you use the App, you may upload documents to be sent as faxes ("Documents").
1.2 Document Content
Documents you upload may contain personal or sensitive information, depending on what you choose to send.
Documents are processed automatically to transmit them as faxes.
In limited cases (such as troubleshooting, abuse prevention, or legal compliance), we may be able to access document content, but reviewing documents is not part of normal operations.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information only to:
- Provide and operate the App;
- Transmit faxes to the numbers you specify;
- Store sent documents so you can access them later;
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix technical issues;
- Improve app performance and reliability.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use your data for advertising.
3. Analytics and Diagnostics
We use third-party tools to understand how the App performs and to fix bugs:
- PostHog – for anonymous usage analytics
- Sentry – for crash reporting and error diagnostics
These tools may collect technical information such as device type, app version, and error logs. This data is used solely to improve the App and does not include document contents.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Sent documents are stored securely in the cloud.
Documents are retained until you request deletion.
We do not automatically delete documents unless required by law or operational necessity.
You may request deletion of your documents or all associated data at any time (see Section 8).
5. Data Security
We use encrypted connections to transmit data between your device, our servers, and third-party fax providers.
However, no system is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you use the App at your own risk.
6. Third-Party Services
To provide the App, we rely on third-party services, including:
- Cloud hosting and storage providers; and
- Fax transmission APIs.
Some third-party providers (such as fax transmission services) may process data outside of Canada. We do not control how third parties handle data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
Payments and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy and payment policies.
7. International Users
The App is available worldwide. By using the App, you understand that your information may be processed or stored in jurisdictions outside your country of residence.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Request deletion of your documents;
- Request deletion of all data associated with your use of the App;

We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal and operational requirements.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will take effect when the updated policy is made available in the App or on its listing. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
